Who is L. S. King
| ||||||
|
L. S. King is a science fiction and fantasy writer with one book, several published short stories, a column on writing, and an ongoing monthly serial story to her credit. A science fiction fan since childhood—reading Heinlein, Asimov, Clarke, Dick, Bradley, Pohl, Vonnegut, Anthony, and many others—she has been writing stories since her youth. Now, with all but one of her children grown, she is writing full time. Whether due to her extensive imagination or her penchant for never knowing when to stop, she is writing novels in several universes, including a sword-and-planet series tentatively called The Ancients, and the Deuces Wild stories—the first book of which has already been published. |

As a child, she studied ballet and tap for many years, and also began martial arts training, eventually earning the rank of master. Music, on the other hand, has not been her strong suit. In her attempts to play the violin, she found new ways to destroy the eardrums and alleged sanity of those around her. She does love to drum, but unfortunately, refuses to do so in the presence of other people, which has slightly impeded her dreams of rock-stardom. Other items in her eclectic background are working in an electronics store, as a journalist, a school bus driver, and in a radio station. When on the planet, this mother and grandmother lives in Delaware with her husband Steve, homeschools their youngest child, and also works as a gymnastics coach. In her non-existent spare time she enjoys gardening, soap making, reading, and online gaming. She also likes Looney Tunes, the color purple, and is a Zorro aficionado, which might explain her love of swords and cloaks. All Your Base Are Belong To Us | ||
